This is the first Thanksgiving of my life that I will not spend with my family, around my parents' dining room table, surrounded by about 50 members of my mother's family. Instead, I have chosen to stay in Chicago and have dinner with the family I have created for myself: The BF, my roommate Ashley, and downstairs roommates Brandon and Darnell. We will eat alot (I even cooked a few things), drink alot, and decorate for Christmas afterwards while football games play in the background, occasionally distracting us.I am very thankful for many things this year, some of which I have already mentioned here: a supportive family, great friends, an amazing boyfriend, my health and happiness. And I wish you all equal measure.
